Crawdaddy's Bayou Bar
and Grill offers the Philadelphia region's most authentic cajun cuisine.
Owner Rob Trabbold has made every effort to ensure that only the highest
quality ingredients (purchased fresh from local businesses) and utmost care
go into every dish.
We offer an extensive menu featuring a variety of authentic cajun seafood
dishes, blackened shrimp, chicken, filet and alligator, authentic jambalaya,
spicy andouille sausage, and much more. If you're looking for lighter
fare, or a late night meal, there is also a bar menu, and a number of appetizers
to choose from. |

| "Rich and yummy" is how some describe chef/owner Robert
Trabbold's decadent combination of blackened filet mignon, and smoked corn
sauce, made from scratch every step of the way. "The dining experience can
take a little longer here; we do everything per order," says Trabbold. Like
many area chefs, he favors the locals: His beef comes from Colonial Village
Meat Market, the vegetables from American Beauty Fish and Produce, and the
seafood from Gadaleto's Seafood -- all in West Chester. If you're counting
calories, well, stop. This dish is worth it. Eight ounces of filet is generously
seasoned with Cajun spices, grilled and paired with mashed red bliss potatoes
with Cajun seasonings, cheddar cheese, sour cream and butter. If that isn't
enough to top the cholesterol charts, there's also the velvety cream-based
corn sauce that tops your filer. Price: $19.81 |

TIMES, JUNE 2006 |
| If the late-night munchies grab hold of you somewhat
between West Chester and Newtown Square, you're in luck. Crawdaddy's substantial
bar menu offers plenty of tempting snacks to complement (or soak up) the
evenings alcohol intake. Chicken gumbo, Cajun steak fries, popcorn shrimp,
a shrimp po' boy, an eight-ounce Angus burger... the list goes on. Kick it
up a notch with a spicy andouille dog or a poing of Triple-X Voodoo Wings.
If the Cajun/Creole thing seems a bit much at 1 a.m., there are also potato
skins, nachos, chicken tenders, pizza, onion rings, calamari and mozzerella
sticks. Any old drive-thru window pales in comparison. |
